Teach California’s Personal Finance Requirements

Cover Key Standards like Banking Basics, Budgeting, Credit + Debt Management, Understanding Loans, Investing, Taxes, and more

California’s Personal Finance Requirements were developed to help students prepare for life after high school. Starting in the 2027-2028 school year, all California public schools must offer a personal finance course. The course will become a graduation requirement beginning with the class of 2031.

Wayfinder offers semester-long content for grades 9-12 and curated financial literacy activities for grades 3-8 that California teachers can use to reinforce key themes of these state standards.
