Chi Kim

Chief Executive Officer
Pure Edge, Inc.

Chi Kim has held a range of positions within education. Prior to joining Pure Edge as the CEO, she served as a California school superintendent, school principal, leadership coach, and classroom teacher, as well as a program officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Chi is an active member of the education community, serving as the Board Chair & Trustee of the Ibis Group nonprofit board and as a member of the CASEL Board of Directors, YouthBuild USA Board of Directors, Coalition for Career Development Center, FairVote, and FECOP Board of Directors. She is also a 2018 Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow and serves on many national advisory councils.

Dr. Avril El-Amin

With 22+ years in public education, Dr. Avril El-Amin is an accomplished educator and motivational specialist known for curating highly effective learning environments. Through the promotion of caring and compassionate pedagogy, she aims to meet the academic, motivational, and socio-emotional needs of learners of all ages.

As a leadership developer, Dr. El-Amin coaches and mentors educational + organizational leaders on how to develop considerate and supportive relationships with their teams in ways that maximize team cohesiveness, collegiality, organizational productivity, and overall effectiveness.
